Weeping Glacier, Breidablik Peak (1650m)
This image was taken above the Arctic Circle in Auyuittuq National Park of Baffin Island. Auyuittuq translates to “ the land that never melts." This photograph of ancient ice is surrounded by the tallest vertical walls in the world. It was taken while the artist was working with his former Photography Professor, Ian Van Coller, on a project photographing receding glaciers. This is one of Orion's all-time favorite photos, especially printed this large. Other photographs from this project can be found on his website.
